Some confuse the archangels with the angels of death.
As the leader of the “angels of death,” some claim that the Archangel Michael aids in the transition from this world to the next, however there is no scripture or chapter in the Bible that supports this idea.
In the Bible, Michael is shown as waging spiritual wars and obeying God’s orders rather than playing the grim reaper.
In Chapter 20 of the Book of Enoch mentions seven holy angels who watch, that often are considered the seven archangels: Michael, Raphael, Gabriel, Uriel, Saraqael, Raguel, and Remiel. Those are mentioned as archangels not angels of death.
The Archangels are angels of the highest rank. In the scripts, they are referenced as the angels who serve God directly.
The Book of Enoch was considered as scripture in the Epistle of Barnabas (4:3) and by many of the early Church Fathers, such as Athenagoras, Clement of Alexandria, Irenaeus and Tertullian, who wrote c. 200 that the Book of Enoch had been rejected by the Jews because it contained prophecies pertaining to Christ.
